Customer Responsibilities:
- Vegetation and Structures: Prior to excavation, please remove any vegetation, decorative stones, retaining walls, or other landscaping features you wish to preserve. The restoration of the area after project completion is the responsibility of the homeowner or property owner.
- Utility Marking: All sprinkler lines, low-voltage lighting systems, and gas lines (such as those for BBQs and firepits) must be exposed or clearly marked by a professional utility locating service before our appointment, with the exception of utilities marked by Miss Dig.
- Additional Grading: Any grading beyond the initial grading and follow-up final grading is the sole responsibility of the homeowner or property owner.

Grading and Settling:
- Initial Grading: We will perform initial grading at the time of backfilling to ensure proper drainage away from your foundation. The area will require setting time prior to final grade.
- Final Grading: After the settling period, we will return to perform a final grading to address any settling and ensure continued proper drainage away from your foundation.
- Additional Grading: Any additional grading will be the sole responsibility of the home, business owner or the property management.
Debris:
- Debris Removal: All debris will be bagged or taken to the client’s curb. Additional charges may apply for debris removal beyond this standard procedure.
Liability Waiver and Insurance:
- Suburban Basement maintains insurance; homeowner accepts responsibility for damages.
- Liability for utilities is limited to those that are properly installed and marked, as well as those marked by the professional utility locating service MISS DIG. The service recipient is required to identify and mark any utilities not addressed by MISS DIG.
- Maximum liability capped at $500 or job payment amount.
- Warranty Limitations: Covers only repaired foundation portions; excludes above-ground issues not specified in the quote.
