Customer Guarantee

  • Suburban Basement makes every effort to communicate in a straightforward manner any and all information that our customers need.
  • Suburban Basement strives to provide the most up-to-date waterproofing and geotech solutions available. This is completed through our continued pursuit of product testing and education.
  • Suburban Basement endeavors to provide the highest quality service experience possible and in a professional manner.
  • Suburban Basement pledges to do our best to protect the privacy of our patrons. We will not share or sell the information we obtain for our services.

Health Advisory

  • Some repairs may require the use of products that may have a degree of odor to them.
  • Inform Suburban Basement directly and prior to any repair appointment, if any individuals or pets living in the residence would be compromised as a result of odor.
  • Any odor that may occur is generally localized to the basement.
  • If an odor is detected and found to be obnoxious, opening windows may be helpful.
  • If an odor is detected and you believe it is negatively affecting an individual or pet in the home please call emergency services.

Personal Information and Data Usage

  • Suburban Basement collects only that information which is required to provide our repair services.
  • Suburban Basement does not sell or share your personal information.
  • Suburban Basement stores your data in a customer management software.
  • Suburban Basement does not give the management software permission to use or share your data.
  • Your data remains on file in our management software until we terminate your customer profile.

General:

  • Suburban Basement will not share or sell your information unless otherwise requested by you.
  • Suburban Basement is not responsible for any charges that may be incurred through your phone, text or email provider.

  • Suburban Basement collects your phone number as a means of contacting you regarding your request.
  • Suburban Basement does not participate in telemarketing. You will not be contacted unless the communication was requested for services either by you or on your behalf.

Text Messages:

  • Suburban Basement collects your phone number as a means of contacting you regarding your request.
  • Suburban Basement will ask for permission to contact you via text message regarding your request and for scheduling purposes.
  • Sending a text to Suburban Basement will constitute permission to receive text messages from Suburban Basement.
  • Suburban Basement does not participate in text message marketing. You will not be contacted unless the communication was requested for services either by you or on your behalf.
  • Individuals who no longer wish to receive text messages from Suburban Basement please reply “stop”.

Emails:

  • Suburban Basement collects your email address as a means of providing estimates and invoices for our services.
  • Suburban Basement will send email marketing materials at a rate of no more than 2 campaigns per month.
  • Suburban Basement provides users with an option to unsubscribe from email marketing.
  • Users that unsubscribe from our email marketing list may still be contacted via email for estimates and invoices unless others requested.
  • Individuals who have open invoices cannot request that we stop sending emails regarding invoices.

General:

  • Suburban Basement does not maintain and is not responsible for the content of any third-party websites that we may share links to.
  • Suburban Basement protects your privacy and does not share or sell your personal information.

Request Form:

  • The information collected through our request form is used to contact the individual who is requesting our service.
  • The Individual submitting the request has the right and option to indicate their preferred contact method. If Suburban Basement is unable to connect with this method they may try another contact option. The individual submitting the request agrees to these terms by act of submitting.
  • Suburban Basement will not share or sell your information unless otherwise requested by you.

Images:

  • All images on the Suburban Basement website are either owned by Suburban Basement or procured through channels that follow copyright laws.
  • Use of any pictures on the Suburban Basement website is prohibited unless otherwise noted or requested and approved.
  • Any pictures of the repair site; before, during and after are solely owned by Suburban Basement.
    Suburban Basement may “post” or include the images they take on the website, in our advertising and through social media.
  • Suburban Basement will process all photos with regards to removing all identifying information such as house numbers, mail boxes and the like.
  • Suburban Basement will not identify or share personal information about the location or customer for which the images were taken.

News Page and News Articles (blog posts):

  • Suburban Basement provides articles that include useful information regarding waterproofing and geotech repairs.  We do not suggest that anyone attempt these repairs on their own.
    Suburban Basement is not responsible for any damages or accidents that could result.
  • The services that Suburban Basement offers are to be completed by professionals.
  • Any and all advice we provide will be intended to help you locate and identify a problem or decide on a repair strategy.

Estimates and Quotes

  • Estimates (also referred to as quotes) are provided by Suburban Basement to home and business owners free of charge.
  • An estimate or quote provided by Suburban Basement is intended to provide the cost required for Suburban Basement to complete the repair only. It is not to be used as an inspection to provide to any other service or company.
  • Individuals who request an estimate under false pretenses for use as an inspection will receive an invoice for an Inspection Fee. See fee information here.
  • By signing a quote provided by Suburban Basement you are agreeing to receive and pay for our service. Failure to follow through may result in a Termination Fee. See fee information here.
  • During the time of the repair should additional issues be found that will increase the cost estimated, Suburban Basement will inform the homeowner before proceeding.
  • Suburban Basement maintains the right to cancel or terminate a quote at any time.
  • Quotes provided by Suburban Basement expire 7 days after they are furnished.
  • Individuals that would like to obtain a service from an expired quote will need to contact Suburban Basement and request the quote to be reopened. Price changes may occur on reopened quotes.
  • Estimates that are provided based on the description and/or picture provided by the homeowner are subject to change upon viewing the area of concern.
  • Some quotes will require a deposit and will be noted as such. See deposit information here.

Warranty Information

Warranty Applications:

  • Suburban Basement offers a lifetime transferable warranty on repairs unless otherwise noted.
  • Homeowners are encouraged to keep a copy of their invoice and receipt as proof of service.
  • Homeowners who sell their home are encouraged to provide a copy of the invoice and receipt to new buyers.
  • Our warranty covers repairs or services provided by Suburban Basement only. The warranty applies only to the exact area that we repaired and does not extend past that area.
  • In the case of a repaired crack, the warranty covers any leaks that may come through the original crack in the state the crack was in at the time of repair. If the crack grows or splits off in any direction, this will be considered a new issue separate from the original repair and therefore not covered by the warranty given for the original repair.

Warranty Exclusions:

  • Concrete Leveling, Spray Foam Insulation and Sump Pumps are not covered by our warranty.
  • Sump pump warranties are exclusively managed by the manufacturer because of varying environmental factors beyond our control. If replacement is required within the manufacturer’s warranty, service fees will apply.
  • Other services that may be excluded from warranty will be denoted on quotes and invoices.
  • Some custom repairs may be excluded from warranty.
  • Drain Tile connections where pre-existing systems are present will be excluded due to potential sediment contamination from compromised sections of pre-existing systems.
  • Our warranty does not cover repair degradation due to natural elements occurring and considered to be acts of god.
  • Our warranty does not cover repair degradation due to lack of maintaining the surrounding area, the foundation, grounds/landscaping or building/dwelling.
  • Our warranty does not cover loss of properties in the case that a leak occurs.

Warranty Claims:

  • Homeowners that need to submit a warranty claim can do so by calling our office at 586-465-5500 or email the claim to [email protected].
  • Any warranty claims for sump pumps will need to be submitted directly to the manufacturer.
  • Suburban Basement will ask to see a copy of the invoice and receipt as proof of service.

Warranty Service and Administration Fees:

  • An administration fee may apply if multiple copies of the invoice and/or receipt are requested.
  • A warranty service fee will apply to homeowners reporting warranty claims that do not pertain to repairs completed by Suburban Basement.
  • A warranty service fee will apply to homeowners reporting warranty claims where the repair that was completed by Suburban Basement has been modified or altered in any way.
  • The warranty service fee will be billed to the individual that submits the warranty claim and will constitute the going rate of our service fees.

Voiding the Warranty:

  • Suburban Basement will revoke any warranty for repair services that are not paid in full.
  • Solicitation or acceptance of “outside” work from our employees is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in legal action, voiding of all warranties (current and past), and termination for said employee.
  • Alterations that modify the repair or the repaired area will void the warranty.
  • Alterations that compromises our workmanship will void the warranty.
  • Any material other than paint that is added to the repair area will void the warranty.

Invoicing and Payments

Payments and methods:

  • Suburban Basement accepts cash, check and all major credit cards.
  • There is a 2.99% credit card processing surcharge that will be applied at time of payment.
  • Repair services will be invoiced and are to be paid at the time of service unless other noted.

 

Invoices:

 

Deposits:

  • Some repair services will require a deposit which allows for the purchase of specific materials. The deposit information will be noted on the quote. In these cases, scheduling and repairs will not begin until the deposit is collected. Deposits are nonrefundable.

 

Fees:

  • Service Fee: Applies when a Service call is made to Suburban Basement and either the technician cannot gain access, the issue does not apply to our services or the area has not been properly prepared.
  • Warranty Service Fee: Applied when a warranty claim has been submitted for either a repair we did not complete, the issue does not pertain to the warranty or the warranty has been voided. See warranty information here.
  • Inspection Fee: Applied when an individual is either looking for an inspection or requests an estimate under false pretenses to obtain an inspection.
  • Administration Fee: May apply if multiple copies of an invoice or receipt are requested.
  • Termination Fee: May apply if an individual neglects to follow through with a signed quote.
