Customer Responsibilities

  • Avoid damaging the concrete: The concrete near your drain tile system is thinner to accommodate the system. Avoid drilling, hammering, or screwing into this area to prevent system damage.

  • Protect the wall flashing and/or vapor barrier: Do not puncture or cut the flashing or vapor barrier on the walls. Avoid using screws, nails, or drills in this area to prevent damage to the flashing, which could void the warranty.

  • Water Management: Maintain functional sump pumps to ensure efficient water management around the interior drain tile system.

Warranty Terms

  • Applicability: This warranty applies only to interior drain tile installations performed by Suburban Basement Waterproofing and is in addition to any statutory warranties that may apply. See statutory warranty information here.

  • Acceptance: By accepting the service, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this warranty along with our statutory warranty terms.

  • Duration: Lifetime transferable. This lifetime, transferable warranty applies as long as the payee provides receipts or other proof of purchase to any new owners.

Coverage & Compensation

Suburban Basement Waterproofing warrants the quality of materials and workmanship related to the installation of the interior drain tile. If your basement leaks at the location of the drain tile installation due to faulty materials or workmanship, we will fix it at no additional cost. This warranty applies in addition to any statutory warranties that may apply. See statutory warranty information here.

Liability Waiver & Insurance

  • Insurance: Suburban Basement Waterproofing maintains insurance; however, homeowners are responsible for securing personal property.
  • Risk Considerations: Potential risks include minor interior disruptions, dust, or debris. While we work to minimize these, we recommend securing valuables and protecting finishing materials.

Warranty Claims & Fees

How to File a Claim

To submit a warranty claim, please email [email protected] with:

  • A copy of your invoice, receipt, or proof of service.
  • A detailed description of the issue.
  • Pictures of the affected area.
Pre-Claim Checklist

Before submitting a claim, please check the following:

  • Sump Pump Functionality: Verify that your sump pump is operating correctly. Check that it is plugged in, powered, and functioning as intended.
  • Electrical Power: Confirm that there are no tripped circuit breakers or power outages affecting the sump pump or system operation. Temporary power outages during the incident may have impacted functionality, as the drain tile system relies on a proper drainage path to function effectively. If your system is connected to an alternative drainage option, such as a bleeder line this step may be disregarded.
  • Water Levels: Check that the water levels in the sump basin are within normal limits. If the basin is overflowing, note the frequency and volume of water entering.
  • Visual Inspection: Look for signs of biological buildup, such as red algae, mineral deposits, or iron staining, in the sump pump basin or inlet pipes.

Suburban Basement Waterproofing may request pictures of the inlet pipe(s) and sump pump basin to verify biological buildup is not the cause of the issue. Suburban Basement may recommend having a plumber clean out the inlet lines of any buildup and have the homeowner monitor the system and verify if that remedies the situation, or if it warrants further involvement by Suburban Basement.

To ensure we can continue providing exceptional service, the following fees may be applied:
